The Ceremony of the Palms includes a blessing of palm fronds and crosses followed by a congregational procession into the church carrying the palms and singing, "All Glory, Laud, and Honor". The procession and palms symbolize the entry of Christ into Jerusalem for the last time before His death and resurrection. These palms are kept by members of the congregation until near Ash Wednesday of the next year, when the dried palm fronds and crosses are given to the Rector to burn for the Imposition of Ashes on Ash Wednesday.
