Holy Saturday is the Saturday after Good Friday. It recalls that Christ crucified visited the dead while His body was entombed. The Book of Common Prayer provides a simple service for this day. Many people choose to fast on Holy Saturday. The religious day ends at sunset when the Easter Vigil,or Great Vigil, begins.
