Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which God adopts us as His children and makes us members of Christ's body, the church, and inheritors of the Kingdom of God (Book of Common Prayer, page 858). At baptism, we are required to renounce Satan, repent of our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior (Book of Common Prayer, page 858).
Let our Rector know if you desire to become a member of the Church. The number is 660-646-4288. We believe there is only one baptism required for acceptance in to Church as a member of the body of Christ. If you have been baptized in another church, you do not need to be baptized again.
Babies should be baptized soon after birth. This way, they are brought into the family of the church and into the New Covenant with God. They become members of Christ and inheritors of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Parents and sponsors (godparents) are responsible for raising children in the Christian faith and life. They make the promises to God on behalf of the baby.
