Welcome to Grace!

All of us here want you to feel welcome when you visit. We combine a rich worship tradition with modern outreach. The Lay Worship Team believes our vision and mission statement captures our Spirit of Grace:

A place where love never ends

Centered on Christ

Living God’s Word

When you visit us, you’ll find a congregation looking toward our next 150 years with hope and enthusiasm.

We are a liturgical church in the Anglican Tradition. That means our Worship Services combine song, Scripture readings, prayers, and offerings based on the earliest Christian Traditions. Most of us stand, sit, and kneel (or bow our heads) at certain times, but don’t feel as if you must do so, too.

The word liturgy, by the way, means work of the people. That means worship for us goes beyond Sunday mornings and personal times of prayer. We are truly excited about our efforts to help those who cannot help themselves. When you look at our information about Christian Outreach, you’ll find local, national, and international projects we undertake in the Name of Jesus. As St. Benedict said, Ordo est labora (Prayer is work) and as St. Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the Gospel and, when necessary, use words.”

We invite you to discover the joy of the Lord in praying without ceasing (and having fun in the process). The red doors are open. Enter into the house of the Lord.

Cordially,

The Lay Worship Team Ed Robertson, Senior Warden and Lay Eucharistic Visitor; George Harter, Junior Warden and Lay Eucharistic Visitor; Cindy Barnes, Candidate for Holy Orders; Mary Lee Summerville, Treasurer; Karen White, Clerk of the Vestry and Lector; Chris Trantham, Vestry; Georgia Way, Vestry, Lay Eucharistic Visitor and Lay Eucharistic Minister; Jack Varnadoe, Parish Administrator; Rosina Harter, Lay Worship Leader, Lay Eucharistic Visitor, Lay Eucharistic Minister, and Cantor; Jordan Huddleston, Acolyte; Anna Way, Acolyte; Alex Way, Acolyte; Mason Daniel, Acolyte

I was glad when they said,

Let us go into the House of the Lord

Psalm 122:1
